Pues muy sencillo: ¡una pasada! Porque aprendes a respetar, a
entender y a convivir con los demás… ¡Y todo eso en Inglés!
Aprendes ingles al máximo, gracias a que los colegios
irlandeses solo hablan en inglés; también porque en la casa en la que estamos
se habla inglés y te acabas acostumbrando a responder en el mismo idioma.
En el colegio Irlandés se trabaja igual que en España,
excepto las divisiones: por muy raro que os parezca se hacen… ¡Al revés! Los profes y los niños son muy
amables, y yo creo que tienen mucha ilusión de que estemos aquí... Por ejemplo:
ellos valoran muchísimo respetar los puestos de las filas, pero si te ven te
dicen todos que te pongas el primero.
Los lunes, martes, miércoles, y jueves tenemos clases de inglés,
mates, lengua, y ordenadores -que es un programa de ordenador para hablar y
leer los libros en Inglés- aunque muchas veces aprovechamos esta última clase
para hacer los deberes del colegio. Lengua es con D. Miguel (¡que pasada!),
mates con D. Luis (¡vaya problemones que nos pone el tío!) y ordenadores
depende del día .
Inglés es con Mr John. Lo pongo aparte porque es el profe especial; solo habla inglés, pero es
alucinante… Yo creo que sin él ‘Five
weeks in english’ no sería lo que es, porque Mr. John nos enseña la mayoría del inglés, y de un modo muy divertido.
Y como si se tratara de un concierto, os voy a presentar a
todos los que hacen posible ‘five weeks in english’: Adri, en los fogones,
marcando el ritmo con la sartén; Diego, con el record mundial de tostadas
hechas por minuto; José Pozo, el que no para de meternos trola tras trola, pero
nos hace de reír muchísimo; Pepe Serrano, que todavía no ha conseguido ganar al
cocinero en un campo a campo; Jesús, de quien pensamos que es un pariente
cercano de los Blake, por todas las historias que sabe sobre ellos… José María,
que nos levanta quitándonos la almohada, edredón, y si te descuidas el colchón.

That´s very
simple: amazing! Because you learn to respect everybody, to understand and to
live with others… And everything in English!
You learn a
lot of English, because in Irish schools they only speak in English; also
because in the house in which we are living, you speak English most times and you end
used to answer in the same language.
In the Irish school
you work the same as in Spain, except the divisions: you won´t believe it, but
the divisions are made… in the opposite way! Teachers and pupils are very
polite, and I think that they are very happy about our stay here… For example:
they value the most the order in a line, but if they see you around there, they
allow you to put in first position.
Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday we have English classe, maths, language and computer –we
use a program with reading exercises- , although sometimes we use this last
class to make the homework. Language is with Mr. Michael (it´s great!), Maths
with Mr. Louise (What a strange problems does the guy put us!) and computing
depends of the day.
English is
with Mr. john. I am writing about him in other paragraph, because I believe
that he is the special one: he speaks only in English, but he is incredible… I
really think that ‘five weeks in english’ wouldn´t be the same without him,
because Mr. John teaches us the most part of English that we learn here.
And if it was
a concert, I´m going to introduce all the people that make possible ‘FWiE’:
Adri in the kitchen, beating the rhythm with the saucepan; Diego, with the
guiness record of toast made per minute; José pozo, who is continuously lying
us, but is really funny; Pepe Serrano, that is still trying to win –playing a ‘pitch
to pitch’– to the cooker; Jesus, from who we are starting to think that is a Mr.
Blake´s relative, because all the stories that he knows about him… And José
María, that get us out from the bed throwing the pillow, the sheets –and if it
is possible the mattres- to the floor.
